Microsoft Purview Sensitivity Labels: Sensitivity label grouping modernization coming this fall (?)

There is a change coming to Microsoft Purview Information Protection that simplifies sensitivity label architecture. The goal is to make label management easier, more scalable, and less rigid for organizations. The new model will only include standalone labels and sublabels. Parent labels will be replaced by label groups, which act as organizational containers. These groups cannot be applied to content and have no actions or scope, but they retain color and priority for visual organization. 9th MVP award!

July 6th 2023 is for many MVPs known as the "F5" day, where we sit and wait for that "You have been awarded..." email.... Or not.

I am yet again humbled and proud to have been re-awarded my MVP for the 9th time today.

I have been asked many times what an MVP is and what it takes to become one. It is not something you become during your regular working hours is usually my reply. It takes a bit of passion for technology, and an inner drive to contribute to the community in one way or another.

There are many paths to a MVP reward, but my contributions for the past years have been around organizing several User Groups in Norway and my hometown, and organizing a one day, free conference called MVP-Dagen, where we invite other MVPs to deliver content to the community. In addition to this, I try to engage in multiple discussions and try to provide as much feedback to different teams with Microsoft as possible.

Once again, I want to send my thanks to Microsoft, the MVP Team, PGI groups, MVP regional Lead and MVP product Leads. You know who you are! I am looking forward to yet another year!
