11th MVP Award Rewarded

I am actually on vacation, but as I sit here under the summer sun, toes in the pool and a cold drink within reach, I have been waiting for that email confirming that I’ve been awarded my 11th Microsoft MVP Award! As last year, I am being awarded in both the Teams and Copilot category. To say I’m humbled would be an understatement. Being part of the global Microsoft MVP community for over a decade now has been an incredible journey, filled with learning, sharing, speaking, and connecting with passionate technologists from every corner of the world. New and improved (?) backup script for Lync 2013

Based on a couple of feedback's and my own experience with these backup scripts, I think it is about time to release the new and improved version.

Highlights include:

  • Bugfix to catch installations where you do not use a named SQL instance
  • Should be able to create backups from several pools when running the backup (not all services, but most important)
  • The same script will now run on both Standard and Enterprise edition.
I have not tested the script in too many multi-pool installations, and really appreciate feedback on the matter. I have tested it on both standard and enterprise version.

The script is signed, and should run on any server, unmodified.

Instead of sharing the script through Drop-box, I have posted it in the Technet Gallery, right here: Backupscript-Lync_2013_v3.ps1. It will give you an option to rate the script, or even discuss it.
