Bing Enterprise Chat enabled by default for all

There are a lot of great things happening in the generative AI space these days. Microsoft is determined to be a part of this revolution, and they have announced a lot of coming services. One of the new features that was released a few weeks ago was the Bing Chat Enterprise (BCE) which is a new feature that enables your organization to use AI-powered chat for work while keeping your user and business data protected.  BCE is available in preview to Microsoft 365 customers with E3, E5, A3, A5 (faculty only), Business Standard and Business Premium licenses, but not to customers in government clouds.  At first BCE was an opt-in feature, but it is now turned on by default for eligible customers who have not previously opted out of it. Announcements in Viva Connections and Viva Topics for Viva Engage (Yammer) coming soon.

Announcements in Viva Connection is a new Viva feature coming to organizations this fall. According to MC663637 in the message center, the feature should be starting to roll out some time during August and will be generally available by the end of September. With this feature organizations can create and share time-sensitive information. This is a great way to get important information out to the employees. Use this documentation on Microsoft Learn as guidance. 

Viva Topics has been available for a range of Microsoft 365 apps, but not for Viva Engage (Previously Yammer) users. This is about to change. The rollout started earlier this year, and will continue for a couple of months. The latest post in the message center suggest the feature should be generally available by the end of October.
