Meet your new Copilot 365 assistants: Skills agent, Interpreter agent, Project agent and the facilitator

Making your tasks easier for you: The other day I wrote about the new Skills feature coming to Microsoft 365 in the following weeks. But the Advanced tier os the new skills feature is just one of three out-of-the-box agents already in place or coming the next weeks and months (and many more in the future, I'm sure). This agents are designed to handle "everything" from simple tasks to complex multi-step processes where you choose to implement them. In this rather length post, I’ll try to break down each agent’s capabilities, why they’re useful, and how you can prepare to make the most of them. Skill Discovery (Skills Agent – Powered by People Skills) Let's start with the skills agent. In my previous post, I mentioned the release of the "skills feature" that will be released in two tiers. Copilot Agents in SharePoint, already rolling out

Copilot Agents in SharePoint is a new capability in SharePoint that will improve how users interact with their sites and document libraries. With the introduction of Copilot agents, users with Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses will now have a powerful tool at their fingertips to enhance their productivity and streamline their workflows.

What are Copilot Agents in SharePoint?

Copilot agents are built-in assistants that can be accessed directly from the Suite Navigation bar in SharePoint. These agents are scoped to the specific site you are on, providing contextually relevant assistance. Users will also find entry points from the new menu on the home page and in their document libraries to create their own Copilot agents. This feature is available to users who already have create and edit permissions on the site or document library.

How to Use Copilot Agents

Using Copilot agents is straightforward. Once released to your tenant, you can find the Copilot icon on the menu of the site you are visiting, allowing you to chat with the agent and benefit from its capabilities.

One of the benefits of Copilot Agents in SharePoint can be enhanced productivity by providing contextually relevant assistance directly. Also, with the ability to chat with Copilot agents, users can get immediate help and guidance, making their SharePoint experience more intuitive and user-friendly.

According to the Microsoft roadmap, the feature should have begun rolling out in October. And according to a Message Center post it should be available to all by the end of December.
