Join Teams work meetings from Microsoft Teams (free) and vice versa

Microsoft Teams (Free) users can currently join Teams for work (or school) meetings only as guests, which requires them to use a browser and results in a sub-optimal experience. The new feature rolling out will allow these users to join Teams for work (or school) meetings in one click, without being redirected to the browser or asked to fill in their name/surname. They will also be able to continue collaborating with the meeting organizer and other participants via meeting chat after the meeting.  The feature will work in the opposite way as well, so Teams for work (or school) will just as easily be able to join meetings hosted by a Teams Free user with one click. Viva Engage and a few other Viva updates

This feature was actually announced at Inspire this summer, but it has taken som time to hit our tenants. The roll-out started late August, and is close to being completed. Microsoft is serious about their "better together" story, and the "Communities" app on Teams is being replaced to reflect the new features coming to the users. The new app is called "Viva Engage", and introduces a better integration experience for the users. Everything about the update is documented in this blogpost at the Techcommunity.

On the topic of Viva, here is an update to Viva Learning.
Viva Learning cards are being introduced to the user's Viva dashboard. With this feature, users can easily discover learning tasks assigned to them and their current status. Dashboard admins can from mid-september add them to the user's Viva connection dashboards following these steps.

Finally, it is getting easier for Viva Learning Admins to manage the organization with the new "Admin tab" in the Teams app. This feature should already be in your tenant or just around the corner. There will be coming more Admin features in tis toolbox as the product evolves.
