How Microsoft Purview DLP currently can help you protect confidential data in Copilot.

Organizations today face a difficult balancing act. Business leaders are eager to adopt tools like Microsoft Copilot to unlock productivity and innovation. Meanwhile, IT and security teams are concerned about safeguarding sensitive information, especially as AI-driven features process vast amounts of organizational data. This tension is real: enabling advanced capabilities without compromising compliance or data protection is a challenge every modern enterprise must solve. New Copilot feature in OneDrive coming soon: Direct access to meeting recaps

There is a new feature coming to OneDrive (on the web), that will make it easier to never miss key points from your meetings again. Soon, users will have direct access to their recorded and transcribed meetings directly from OneDrive. As someone who has navigated numerous meetings and follow-ups, I understand the challenges of keeping track of key points and actions and I can't tell how much I am looking forward to this particular feature.

Here are the most important updates with this release:

  • Recap Meetings: Quickly review key points and discussions from your meetings without having to watch the entire recording.
  • Generate Meeting Notes: Automatically create detailed notes summarizing the meeting, saving time and ensuring accuracy.
  • Highlight @mentions: Easily identify and review all mentions of specific individuals during the meeting, ensuring no important points are missed.

To have a closer look at the new features, have a look at this demo, provided by Microsoft.

The feature is related to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 469500 and is planned to roll out later this month (May 2025). It will automatically be applied to the users, and no admin action is required. But it might be useful to update your learning material and make sure your users are aware of the feature.
